My name is Aleksei John Eaves. I am an undergraduate student at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, currently studying a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering. I am pursuing a career as an engineer in embedded systems or firmware. I care about high-quality software that solves important, tangible problems.
I am interested in:
- Programming I have been programming forever. I usually use C and assembly (x86-64, AVR, 6502), but I know many languages such as Common Lisp, Tcl, Python, Bash, and Java.
- Electronics I enjoy electronics. I like working with audio electronics, and would like to explore RF in the future.
- Mathematics Calculus, graph theory, and sometimes pure mathematics all interest me.
Besides my technical study, I have some other interests.
- Reading If you ever bump into me, I’m probably reading. I read about computing history, engineering practice, embedded systems, as well as literature, essays, and science fiction.
- Writing I like to write essays and articles for my own enjoyment, and I sometimes write small pieces of fiction or poetry.
