My name is Aleksei John Eaves. I am an undergraduate student of electrical engineering at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. When I graduate, I want to pursue a career in embedded systems or firmware.
I am most interested in embedded systems, real-time systems, and digital electronics. I also enjoy learning about computer networking, creating safety-critical and reliable software, technical writing, and mathematics.
I have been programming for nine years. Started out making games when I was twelve, but found that I enjoyed the programming than anything else. I’m most experienced with C and assembly language; I have used multiple different architectures, such as AVR, x86, and 6502. I have also extensively used Common Lisp, Tcl, Python, Bash, and C++.
In my spare time, I like to study things related to but beyond what I learn in my course. Besides technical study, I’m an avid reader of computing history, literature, and science fiction. I also like to write, mostly for fun, but it also helps me become a good writer and communicator.
Feel free to send me an e-mail; I check my inbox regularly so I will be sure to see your message.
